It's Been a Great First Week!

Dear Hawes Families,

SKATE NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS: Thank you to everyone who came out for Stake Night last week. We had a great showing and parking was overflowing to the adjacent parking lot. What a great way to build school community for the new year. So many talented skaters at Hawes :)

SPIRIT DAY: We are looking forward to Student Council sponsored Rock Star Day on 1/23/26. This will also be our monthly student recognition assembly at 8:45 am in the lunch area. Please plan to join us in celebrating our amazing students.

BIKE SAFETY: For everyone's safety, please remind your child to wear a helmet and walk their bikes through the back park. A reminder that skateboards and scooters are not permitted at school. Thank you for your attention to this.

LOST & FOUND: Please remind your child to take home what they bring to school daily. In just five days we have accumulated 15 items of clothing with no names on them. Tank you for encouraging your child to be responsible with their belongings.

Please review the following from Communications Director Angulo regarding - Early Childhood Education Informational Meeting – Families Invited!

This session will provide an overview of our early learning programs and what families can expect as their child begins their educational journey.

Topics include enrollment and registration, immunization requirements, ways to support early learning at home, and a live Q&A.

THANK YOU for doing all you can to bring your child to school every day and to minimize the amount of time they are absent due to vacations etc. We appreciate you taking trips during non-student days whenever possible.

Independent Study Contracts If your child is going to be absent from school due to vacation/or travel for four (4) or more days, please contact the school office to request an Independent Study Contract. Please understand that we need at least two weeks prior to the start date of the absence in order to prepare materials. Here are some key points to remember:
