Celebrating Everyday Excellence Across HBCSD

We’re excited to launch Shoreline Standouts, our new districtwide Staff Recognition Program for the 2025–26 school year. This initiative celebrates the incredible Huntington Beach City School District team members who go the extra mile, lift their school community, and lead with heart every day.

Each month, we’ll recognize two employees from across our district. This is your chance, whether you’re a colleague or school community member, to give a shoutout to someone who makes a difference, whether they support students, care for campus, bring joy to a team, or help everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

How it works:
  • Anyone in our HBCSD community can submit a nomination, staff and families alike. It only takes a few minutes using a short Google Form.
  • Honorees will be celebrated across the District through social media, newsletters, school sites, and a certificate presentation.
  • We’ll rotate through each school site and department, sharing stories of the amazing people who keep HBCSD moving forward. A recognition schedule ensures that every campus and department has its moment to shine. When it’s your site’s designated month, you’ll receive a follow-up message with all the details, including a nomination form and deadline.
  • Honorees will be selected for the ways they embody HBCSD’s values, focus areas, and learner profile, inspiring both students and colleagues.

Please note: This monthly recognition program is separate from the annual Employees of the Year honors, which are coordinated in partnership with the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE). While Employees of the Year recognizes a select group each spring, this initiative provides an ongoing opportunity to celebrate staff contributions throughout the school year at every site.
