GATE opportunities for all families: Please see the attached flyers for family learning events regarding GATE students.

Papa John's Pizza Day: is Tuesday. Students getting a school lunch on this day will be served fruit, veggies, milk and a slice of pizza from Papa John's.

Hawes PTSA Spring Fling: is this Saturday! We hope to see you there for the best party of the year. See below for ticket information. If you are unable to attend, you can still participate in the silent auction through bidpal!

March MegaSkills Family Activity Challenge: is attached and is due on Monday, March 31 for students to earn a brag tag!

We are now accepting registrations for the upcoming school year. This is for all new, incoming students. If you currently attend TK, your enrollment information will be sent to your home school in the spring and you do NOT need to re-register.

If your child is going to be absent from school due to vacation/or travel for four (4) or more days, please contact the school office to request an Independent Study Contract. Please understand that we need at least two weeks prior to the start date of the absence in order to prepare materials. Here are some key points to remember:

We encourage you to plan your trips over the scheduled breaks we have in place. As well, please make plans for day trips to Disneyland and other places for the weekend. We all understand how difficult it is when we are absent from work and the same holds true for students.

If your child is truly sick, please keep them home to recover. Students must be fever, vomit and diarrhea free for 24 hours prior to returning to school.

If your child is absent from school, please report this absence by emailing: Hawesattendance@hbcsd.us or by calling the school office at: 714.963.8302 then press 1.

Spring Fling is just a week away, and you don't want to miss our 50th Anniversary Golden event at the iconic Harborside Ballroom featuring live music from Good Cop Bad Cop, delicious buffet, champagne toast, photo booth, and silent and live auction! Don't miss the chance to dance the night away with your favorite Hawes staff and friends while supporting our Hawesome school! Our Prop 28 arts funding is going down next year, so we're raising funds to keep dance/movement at Hawes next year!
