Principal Mr. Forest Holbrook and students from Moffett Elementary School presented an update on the school's Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) program, known as "The Moffett Way." This program is aimed at improving school climate and creating a safer, more effective learning environment. It focuses on teaching behaviors that contribute to student success both on campus and in life. The presentation highlighted key components of the program, including the Moffett Code and CARES matrix. Highlights included how students have the opportunity to earn CARE Tickets and CARE Wristbands by demonstrating the core values of being Considerate, Always safe, showing Respect and Responsibility, and striving for Excellence.
Additionally, the students engaged the Board and cabinet members in a friendship bracelet activity, mirroring a school tradition. This activity, which involves creating and gifting bracelets as acts of kindness, was a hands-on demonstration of the positive culture fostered by the PBIS program at Moffett.
